My first visit was sort of a last minute thing. It was not a long stay either. What stood out to me right away was the quality of food. I felt like I was eating way more but I did not gain weight, I actually lost weight! It made me wonder what they were putting in the food back home.

Anytime someone mentioned wanting to travel and not being able to afford it, I always bring this up. I am not a rich person and I have managed to go to Vietnam 5 times in the last 10 years.
I always default to the same three reasons myself:
It is VERY affordable in terms of going on vacation to another country.
The food is amazing and you will not experience this sort of food anywhere else in the world.
The culture is family forward, respectful, and the people of this beautiful nation are friendly.
For sure! Vietnam’s stunning landscapes and delicious cuisine will captivate you. Don’t forget to explore the bustling markets and serene temples. 🌏

Vietnamese people truly are kind and very open to strangers. I have never met such kind people anywhere else I have been. I like to make a comparison to Japanese people. Vietnamese people are a lot like Japanese people but more social. So you get the respect and friendliness with more human connection.
